THE PROJECT

The DEYAVA (Northern Axis Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise) has implemented the project: “ELECTRONIC SYSTEM INSTALLATION LOCATION AND CONTROL OF LEAKAGES IN THE INTERNAL NETWORKS OF DEYAVA – PHASE A” with a budget of 540.000,00€ not including VAT, with OPS (Integrated Information System) Code 5092230.

The proposal has been studied and submitted by the Technical Service of DEYAVA.

For the implementation of the Act, funding was secured from the “Water Management” Programme of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Financial Mechanism) 2014-2021 & the Public Investment Programme (PIP) according to the Decision of the Minister of Environment and Energy (No. pre. YPEN/ESPAPER/32275/220/04-04-2022 (IDA: 6Ξ424653Π8-KΞT).

The act concerns the installation of a modern leakages detection and control system in the internal networks of DEYAVA and in particular in the Municipal Department of Platanias.

During implementation, a total of 620 Local Consumption Control Stations, Pressure Regulators at appropriate points in the network (consisting of one Local Pressure Control Station and two Local Pressure Measurement Stations) and two Chlorine Residual Measurement Stations to be placed at appropriate locations in the network will be supplied and installed. The data will be transmitted wirelessly from the water meter communication units to the DEYAVA Control Centre where it will be evaluated and recorded.

The act aims to reduce non-invoiced water, through the detection and reduction of leakages, in the most densely populated area of the Municipality of Platanias, the Municipal Department of Platanias, an area characterized by large seasonal variation in population volume and water consumption between winter and summer. In particular, the successful implementation of the project is a milestone in the transition to the digital era, through remote control and remote management, while it will contribute to the expansion and implementation of similar projects in the entire area of the Municipality of Platanias, covering the needs of both permanent residents and numerous holidaymakers.

THE ACT WAS FUNDED FROM THE “WATER MANAGEMENT” PROGRAMME OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA) FINANCIAL MECHANISM 2014-2021 & THE PUBLIC INVESTMENT PROGRAMME (PDE).
